A Chinese-diaspora nonprofit keeping free expression alive — one screening, one conversation, one preserved memory at a time. Born from the White Paper movement, based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Starshiner 是一家501(c)3 总部位于北加州的非营利公共利益机构，致力于推动言论自由、促进公民参与，并培育一个更具公共意识的华人离散社群。
What we do — salons, censored-film screenings, protest workshops, oral history, and public commemoration.
Why give — censorship works by making people forget, and feel alone. We fund the opposite: memory, and community.
By the numbers — 33 events, 2,000+ people reached, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2026.
